It’s a low vibration word. Trashy. I try to never use under any circumstance, but occasionally let it go when ticked off.

I'm 44 and have never said it in front of my dad. It's a respect thing. Only heard him say it a handful of times growing up.

My wife's sister and her husband say it constantly around their three year old.

The three year old says it every time I see him now. He also hits everyone and is a horrible kid.

Pretty much never. Like a few times ever and their college and HS so I think I’ve done well.

It slipped once. I was drinking so my self awareness and self control wasn’t normal (not an excuse). It was during the LSU A&M football game. Thanks Garrett Nussmeier.

It's puritianical now to not say the F word in front of your kids?

Society seems to be heading in the right direction?

We complain about the libs with their "words are violence" crap, but then make a big deal out of words such as frick, cünt, bitch, etc. I don't get it.

Yeah, trashy people talk like that in front of their kids...

For real. Lots of high and mighty in here.

My kids are taught that swear words are just words. It is their intent that matters.

Saying what the frick and what the fudge isn't any different when the intent is the same.

Don't stand on pomp and circumstance that a word by itself is harmful, same crowd will ride the "guns don't kill people" stuff but a word is just instantly bad.

The thread is about saying the F word in front of children.

STTDB in the right context is okay. That's football stuff.

I would if I wanted my grandkids to use it around me. And, of course, I don’t.

Way more than I should. Wife always jumps my arse about it, but after years of offshore and plant work it's part of my daily vocabulary. Slips out without me even noticing.

No. I'd like to think my vocabulary is big enough to avoid this word, in any setting.

I try not to cuss at all. Work gets the best of me occasionally though.
