What are some ways yall use them?

I just started asking it to create leads for me at work and even compose personalized emails to said leads. Pretty crazy the things it can do.

I used it several times this week. Creates a welcome to the company announcement for a new employee using their resume. Rewrite a business justification for clarity. Compare two mortgage scenarios.

I also use it like I used to use search engines.

I use it to analyze writing pieces.

You can even get it to simulate a sort of round table and have different perspectives discuss your work.

Kind of neat.

And something more fun, have it analyze a show you enjoyed, then basically make your own episode. Tell it what you want to be about, what happens, characters, blah blah blah.

Then have it generate a script. Can turn out to be pretty funny and you can just continually tweak it. If you can laugh at a script you'll enjoy it.

It’s much better since Google is basically just trying to sell me shite now rather than providing information

I uploaded some shed plans and asked it to do a material estimate using lowe's and home depot pricing. It put it in spreadsheet form for me. I checked over it and it was correct per my BOM.

ETA: I had to do a presentation for work and gave grok the relevant codes and asked it to create an outline for me. Worked well. I also use copilot to summarize teams meetings.

I'm in digital marketing for a major hospital system. We use a ton of AI tools to help generate content on a daily basis.

At work I use it for when I have a virtual meeting. It does a damn good job of summarizing things.

I just had it write a powershell script to check every piece of a Windows server for any issues. I changed a few variables and it worked perfectly

As someone painfully slow to adapt to new technology, how do you get started? Just go to chatgpt.com and start typing in what you want? Like is that really all there is to it?

And do you have to be somewhat formal with your input or can you "talk" to it conversationally as you would a person?

Everyday. It’s amazing the questions my subordinates ask me and I just go to AI and they think I’m a genius.

Every day. In fact, I use it sporadically through the entire day and evening.

I think it's probably the biggest technological marvel created in decades. And on par with the telephone, television, and personal computer.

I give it a list of my favorite pornstars with brief descriptions of what I like about them and ask it to give me a list of new ones I should check out.

See this is exactly the warning I have been giving it's destroying man's natural curiosity to explore for himself to learn
