What amazes me is how much 911s have gone up. The cheapest one is the same price of the GT three used to be.

I’m trying to remember the last time I actually rode in a car that was not an Uber and I’m drawing a blank.

They ruined it. I wanted one the last time we were looking but wife wanted suv instead.
It is not as bad as the weight would suggest, in fact you don't notice it on the street. We drove a G90 since my wife is interested in replacing her F90 Comp, the G90 really is excellent on the street, as good or better than the F90. My wife is holding off on the decision to see if they make a G90 M5 Comp which they have suggested they won't build. If not, she may go a different path with a GT3 Touring being the next one in line. and it would be nice to have a N/A manual car back in the garage.
I can't imagine not having a car but I also can't imagine not having an SUV with a trailer (which we got more utility out of than a truck). Maybe the day when I can't get into and out of a car, but not until.

I cannot wait to get a car again when the kids don’t need me to ferry them around anymore. I’ll probably end up with one before then for when they’re not all in the car at the same time. I miss driving a stick shift coupe everyday.

Small cars just aren't for me, I just don't like it.
Luckily my family is big and I do a lot of truck stuff so I have a 3/4 ton and my wife has a Yukon XL.
Can't see ever going back down in size.

Next vehicle for wife will be a Toyota Sienna minivan. Don't care if they aren't "cool".
I was given one as a rental that I drove for a little over a month. The wife and I didn’t want to give it back. More features in a mid level model than a high end suv, way better mpg, and the ride was beyond smooth. All the features were useful as well. With kids it’s definitely the way to go over an SUV for price and practicality.

Somewhat ironically, old cars from the 1940’s or so are just as tall as today’s SUV models.

I honestly cant see ever buying another vehicle ever again, car or truck or SUV.. for sure never financing again.. i have a paid-for SUV, and for my work in America i have a company car .. when im overseas i store my vehicle at a facility near my home, though it costs me approximately what my first car payment cost me each month, in order to keep it in climate controlled storage .. im 47, and good health willing and the creek dont rise- even if i drive another 40 years, i hope to keep my SUV until it becomes an antique and never have to buy another vehicle .

Last sedan I bought was in 1980, guess I was ahead of the times!

Yep, we are doing the same. Either Odyssey or Sienna for us.

I’ll always have one of each.

My dad had about 4 Lincoln Continentals until he switched to Suburbans. But yep, pulled his boats with all of them.
