If not, what’s your argument?
I was wondering recently why we haven’t been back. At least just for research. My guess is that there isn’t a lot of financial reason to go back.

Yes I think we did. I think they faked some of the bullshite like the phone calls.

I don't think the American government has ever been competent enough to create such an overarching cover up for this long a period of time

I think a lot of people don't want to believed they were essentially duped by a television program.
At the time the government has a lot of reason to fake it and little fear it would come under scrutiny.

Most assuredly.
My old man was involved for 15 years at a high level in the Space Program, Apollo through the Shuttle.
He was really sharp and would have figured any duplicity out.
Also, three pirates can keep a secret if two of them are dead.
It would have been the news story of the millennium, worth a king’s ransom.
Someone would have spilt the beans for the money.
