There’s definitely that segment of women out there that 10 or 20 years would have tried to doll themselves up or maybe hit the gym in order to get a man.

I think better clothing / makeup / surgery options are resulting in maybe 20 percent of the prior "average" girls getting hotter.

Attractive is relative to the local average.
Took a couple trips to Cornell back in college and a girl at Bama who would’ve been a 6 would be at least a 9 there.
Your perception of what is hot, average or ugly varies wildly depending on what you’ve been conditioned to believe is normal.
It’s why trashy people often don’t think they are trashy and many fat people don’t think they are fat: because they are surrounded by fat trashy people and they see themselves as normal.

I find there is less middle ground

All I know is that I’ve been in Georgia for 2 weeks and the daily lunch topic is “ where the frick are the Georgia peaches??) They sure ain’t stacking up to some Cajun girls, I do know that.
