Well, I will soon be eighty-two. started taking Zinc, vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Magnesium a couple years ago. Haven't had a Cold since.
This summer I cut down two Oak trees about 36" in diameter, Cut them up into firewood lengths, and spit them with a wedge and sledge hammer..
Yesterday I replaced the belt on my Cub Cadet lawn mower.
Genetics, exercise, or Vitamins? Take your pick.

I take B and D vitamins regularly. I also add marine collagen to my coffee each morning.

This is my regimen as well.

Not sure but when I take slo niacin I'm amnazed at how much better I feel.
My ears will turn red and feel flushed but the rest is a lot better.

Sure it “does anything” for some folks.

Does it benefit a specific person?

Depends on what substances, in what dosages, and which person it is.

I take Beet root and it definitely helps lower blood pressure 4-5 points. Its not a substitute for blood pressure medication if you high high blood pressure but it helps if you are on the cusp. Also take Vit D ever since covid because my annual blood work always used to show low Vit D counts and now I'm in the normal range. So those work....no idea about anything else.

Depends. If it’s a whole food based multivitamin with real ingredients, yes it is beneficial. If it’s a huge name brand where most of the vitamins are actually forms if acids, it’s expensive urine.

I would think if you were deficient or had a diet that lacked in something then supplements are prob a good way to go.

If you eat a proper diet, prob don’t need them.

If you still drink milk, that has to go. That was hard to give up but no burning in my knuckles is a powerful incentive.

They do no good whatsoever in the 1st world. We are not malnourished or vitamin deprived, at least not in the modern age.

I take Zinc every day and D3 twice a week and aside from sinus infections, I'm never sick. I did have a small chest cold about a month ago(got it from my boss) but I was over it in a couple of days. Only had to take a couple of doses of OTC cold medicine. But that's been it.

Not sure about the extremities like that but I also stay away from food that cause inflammations, which is pretty much anything that comes from a box and pretty much all breads. It may be painful at first but also try mild exercises that get the joints moving and loose and do it everyday.
