Why the hostility? It’s a question about dogs. I don’t see why one would use that type of language.

Depends. My sisters house we all bring our dogs cause they have a ton of land for them to play. Friends or other family no. Not their job to worry about my lab and her chewing on shite phase that she is lucky I haven't killed her for.

Yup. He's always invited. I'm the one who has to beg for me to come.

I don’t have any family other than my dog.

We will hang out and watch football.

I do, but I just go back home. My dog is very well behaved.

My brother brings his stupid shithead goldendoodle that he didn’t bother to train, though. That’s never fun. And the damn dog pees everywhere and aggressively goes after my dog but mine is the one who has to stay in my room for some reason.

I think there's a difference between someone you have this type of relationship with vs. bringing your dog to a friend or extended relative's house without an invitation.

You just never know what you're walking into. Kids, other pets, adults, etc. that can't be around your dog for whatever reason.

Anyone who has brought a dog to my house has regretted it. They don't get to relax and have fun because they have to constantly pull their curious dog away from my cat. That's no fun for anyone.

my cousin before he passed would bring his black lab to thanksgiving every year. and the kids loved playing with him. honestly people ruin holidays before a damn dog. I'd rather spend thanksgiving with 10 dogs over 10 people. Dogs>people. if someone brings a dog unannounced I see it as a nice surprise. if the dog is being bad... put him outside. If a person is being bad... you're fricked

My dad doesn’t even want his own dogs at his house, why the hell would I add to that?

The dogs are more welcome here than most humans. Our granddogs are well behaved. They have the yards, woods and river to play in and no neighbors around. Release the hounds!
