I use a combination of print and cursive like others have said. I understand why others think it is outdated, but there is a visual appeal to it that I think is sadly overlooked in our modern culture which seems to be solely focused on efficiency.

Aesthetics is one of the five main branches of philosophy, which was my college major. I didn't understand it's importance at the time, but I have really come to appreciate it as I've gotten older. There is definitely something to being able to recognize and appreciate beauty in its many forms, and deriving general happiness from it.

Same. But I also write in my own firm of shorthand. So nobody can read my writing but me.

I guess I am trashy then. I had beautiful cursive writing when I was in school. But after school so much stuff ask you to print I just got in the habit of printing and now at 55 the skill is gone.

Yes, but if I look at it again a year later I can't read 1/3 of it. My penmanship, at least for note taking, is getting worse all the time.

ETA: My kids can't read any of my cursive. They used to get their counselors to read it to them when they were kids and I sent them letters at camp, lol.

My secretary of 18 years is the only person who can read my cursive well. She also does a great forgery of my signature.

Maybe only when writing paper checks. I feel like I’m putting on an exhibit of a primitive endeavor when I do it.

I never really wrote much in cursive due to my handwriting being so horrid. In high school my English teacher made me write everything in print because my cursive was so hard to read. She said that in her 40 years of teaching she had never needed to make a student do that... until me.

All the time----grocery and hardware lists, all written correspondence not done by e-mail, etc.

I have started writing my recipes in a notebook and it is being done in cursive using black ink. One notebook for preparing food for meals and one notebook for how I make my sausages, pepper jelly, hot sauces, etc.

My handwriting is very clear and easy to read, not that chicken scratch some people call penmanship.

If it is a personalized note or card, I do. When I was working, everything by hand was printed and usually capitalized.

It's a mix for me. For some reason I always write my f, o and e in cursive.

Cursive is much faster. If you write in cursive you may want to try the "Sharpie S gel" pen. It is more pleasant than a ball point and comes in several widths.

I still use my Grandfather's real ivory handled letter opener, so (short of writing with real ink) the Sharpie product has the look to match the letter opener.

I write in cursive, takes me too long to print something.I have gotten a lot of compliments over the years about how nice my handwriting is.
I have arthritis in my thumb now so my writing is not as good but it’s still legible.
My two sisters have very nice handwriting.
We were products of Catholic schools, the nuns were big on penmanship.
