Obviously there will likely come an age where I stop sitting on the floor.

But in my mid 30s, most of the time I'd rather sit on the floor in front of the couch rather than on the couch, especially if it's been a long day.

I didn't realize most people don't really do it.

I still do, but its because I want to sit with my dog who is not allowed to get on furniture.

I thought I was the only one.

I sit in front of my couch or kneel/lean against the coffee table when watching big games that I’m anxious about.

I sit indian style at my desk at work, when I am not in a skirt. I sit on the floor at home when the dog isn't trying to give me kisses.

I used to when it was ok to sit "indian style".

I simply refuse to "criss cross applesauce"

Here's my theory:

You don't have a coffee table, sit and eat fast food on the floor in front of the TV and use the carpet as a napkin.

I do. Have a big rug in the living room. If I'm watching TV, I'll lay on it or stretch a bit.
