I have been sitting on the floor lately as well. I never used to do this. We got a new couch so I would sit on floor to eat food. Somehow just sitting on the floor sticked. Wierd for sure.

My wife and I do all the time since we have kids and dogs. They like to play with us on their level.
I actually made the comment yesterday:
There's seating for 8 at the table, 5 on the outdoor couch, 3 at the bar, and 5 on the couches inside.....we're sitting on the floor.

My wife (pics on reddit) did this when pregnant. Made a pillow fort of sorts and leaned back on the couch. Like a nest of sorts.
And when the child was still a crawler, hanging out on the floor more than the sofa.
I remember with a puppy also, it was easier to sit on the floor and watch TV while playing with the puppy.

Sometimes. I like to sit on the floor & stretch my legs/back. But we spend more time in bed than the living room, so there aren’t many opportunities to sit on the floor.
