Seems like for every 5 minutes of show they have 7 minutes of commercials.
They have 35 to 38 minutes of content per hour, so this is subjective.
If you don't like the commercials, just listen on the app - you can get it done in about 2 1/2 hours and you'll only get the 1 minute CBD oil commercial at the beginning of the 8 O'clock show, and maybe a "Get the Tea" segment.

I haven’t listened since I outgrew that show back in the 8th grade.

His voice and being overly peppy turned me off.

No Woody Show listeners on 92.3?

Sure do, partly just out of respect for John and respect for Johnson. Kenny is doing better than I thought he would be. As long as Billy Ed is there I will listen.

Weird 1AM over year old bump…
Haven’t listened since Obama ruined their show.

Morning radio used to be sooooo good. Hasn't been worth a crap since the lex and Terry show vanished. They were nuts, used to have drunk b+×*# Friday - they'd have a hottie in studio doin shots or something and talk em out of their clothes.
Also had the Rod Ryan show, another fool . They're based in Dallas and Houston I think

Loyal 10%er here. Kenny was hand picked by Walton, and he had some really big shoes to fill. I went to John’s memorial celebration in NOLA after he passed, and like someone else mentioned earlier, I also kept listening partly out of respect for the guys. Sure it’s not the same, but Kenny’s been on the air about 2 years now, whereas W&J were together for decades. They seem to be working together very well, especially considering they haven’t been together for very long.

Yep, Kenny is growing on me. I still like the show.

I was in radio for 10yrs and that’s not why they aren’t with 98.1 anymore. Gordy was playing hardball too long and clear channel signed them.

Kenny has grown on me, a lot.

I think Kenny has done a pretty good job. They’re not great, but they’re still the best we’ve got in the mornings.

No.
Kenny seems like a good guy, but I just couldn’t get into him being half the show. Not after 25 years of growing up on it being John Walton and Steve Johnson.

I stopped listening to them once they turned into a political rant show.

I haven't listened to them since Obama was in office. Just became way too political.
Posted on 6/11/21 at 6:41 am to bdavids09
Are they still political? I listened to them regularly because it was an escape from politics but at some point they just became two old boomers upset with things changing. All they did was complain. Did Kenny lighten it back up?
