I actually like cutting grass. Let's me relax.

I used to cut my own grass for years. Never liked it or didn’t like it, just a task to be done.
We hire it out now, just for the simple fact that with the kids sports schedules and our work schedule, I’d have one day a week open to do it and right now, I don’t want the only free time I have all week to be used for yard work.
I pay someone to cut the grass and I go golfing or do something enjoyable with my time instead. Once things free up more, I’ll probably go back to doing it.

I have a zero turn and cut the yard myself.
I pay someone to use the string trimmer until my hand and wrist stop hurting from the emergency surgery a year ago. It screwed up full use of my left hand.
Not a baw.

I can stomach my own free weeds in the lawn, but I’m not paying for it.

As a boomer, I grew up where only urban **** went to the gym. I need the exercise to do all of my yard work

Have a group of hombres that come hack the neighborhood down every week. Takes them about 20 minutes per yard is $30.

The ONLY time I had someone cut my grass was when I had to have a pretty intense ankle surgery and it laid me up for several months between the surgery, recovery and PT.
As soon as I could comfortably walk behind the mower, I took the job back. I'm now 73 and have no intention of turning it over to someone else any time soon.

went middle class fancy and got a john deere x350. made a boring task kind of fun since I upgraded from a push mower.

I don't mind cutting the grass - its just the volume that gets me. 7 acres at home and 3 acres at work.

When I was a kid mowed other people grass for money. As an adult other people mow my grass for money.

Have a guy that works for me that cuts it sometimes when I don’t have time or don’t feel like it but most of the time I cut it…I enjoy the quiet alone time and a fresh perfectly cut lawn

I had lawn guys for a long time and finally stopped being lazy, got an electric mower, and do it all myself now. It's easy enough that there there is no excuse to hire somebody. I do miss the yard crew when the pecans fall though. Cleaning those up sucks arse.

I'm allergic to fresh cut grass...literally. Skin welps, runny eyes and nose then a cough, and finally a long bout of bronchitis if I don't cool it. Call me a p*ssy if you like.
I did my own but gave it up years ago. My neighbors today are all elderly. We have a 4-plot on the neighborhood corner and all use the same guy for 10+ years. He charges me $80 bi-weekly, and I routinely tip $20. So ~$200/month for 1-acre with steep ditches and many obstacles. It would take me a full Saturday and leave me miserable. I'll miss that deal when it's gone.
He helps cleaning up bushes, beds, and trees in off-season. We give a very nice tip before Thanksgiving, and even had his family over for a crawfish boil. My in-laws started with him, he is basically part of the family now.
He offers down-on-the-luck guys, including parolled convicts, an opportuniy. I did that when I ran my own business and can understand the sentiment. Never any problems.
Look for a guy like this. They are rolling around everywhere.

Still do. With a push mower.
Did it this afternoon, hopefully for the last time this year...

I cut my own.
I ranch so I put in 70 hrs or more per week during the summer. Just when you think "HEY I might get in before dark tonight" my lawn says
"the F you are !!"

A kid I know in the neighborhood offered to cut mine for $60. He mows the 2 acre yard and weedeats. My yards looks as good as any in the neighborhood. Its also one less thing I have to do after work or on the weekend.
