I get asked nearly every time I walk out of WM. I just smile and keep going, and it's never been a forced issue.
Anyone stop or do you keep walking too.

Any establishment that requires me to show a receipt upon waking out is trashy. I don’t grace trashy establishments with my presence

Thanks, OP, for making some poor schmuck's shitty job even shittier.

I'm sure your parents are proud.

It's either a sweet girl in a wheelchair or a surly old lady when I walk out a Walmart. I stop for wheelchair girl cause she's sweet and I'd like them to not get rid of her job.

I hold mine in my hand and display it as I walk out. They never actually look.

Unless at Costco or other store where you sign a contract, you're not required to show a receipt or allow them to go through your bags. Once you've paid, it's your property. Tell them no thank you and keep walking. Those standing in line leaving a store to give them a receipt are plain stupid.

Yes of course. It’s a very poor person just doing their job, I’m not going to make their life hard because you’re trying to stick it to the policy makers at WM. Don’t be a dick to them, their life more than likely sucks more than yours so instead of being rude just show the receipt and ask them how their day is going.

They really only care if you have items that aren't bagged.

So I'll stop if I don't have something bagged and they want to look at it. If they literally just saw me loading my bags at the self-checkout, I'm not stopping.

Why would you not stop and show them your receipt? Just to be a douche?

I acknowledge them. Most of the time they just pass me along, but it has never been a big deal or something I thought about after the fact.

I don't have problem with showing my receipt..But I do have a problem when I self checkout and a WM employee is giving me the look like I am stealing..I asked her if there was a problem and she just walked off...I don't put up with that crap.

So you don't show it either. Cool beans

Not being a dick, but not a sheep either. Company policy is not the law.

Go to Sams and try that.

You’re showing that receipt or Juanita gonna grab your cart by the handles and you’re in for a hell of a fight.

Again, just another poor person doing their job. Her job is to prevent theft and there’s a shite ton of it at WM. Just ignore her and keep going. It sounds like you’d be better off shopping at Target and Brookeshires or something. Walmart is Walmart, if you don’t like the policies don’t shop there. But don’t be an arse to a person just barely scraping by and just trying to do their job.

No, you idiot.

Whether you check out by cashier or self, there's a camera watching the transaction. If loss prevention, who is watching from that small room near the front doors, sees you steal, or has reason to suspect you have, then they will stop you, not tha friendly greeter some here are white knighting. So if you think the greeter is there to stop stealing, you are not thinking this through.
