Maybe he's taking his mom to an appt or something, but no matter what it is, it's none of your business and PTO is part of your benefits package.

I hope he took time with his elderly ma to visit with her, have a coffee with bon bons, and share her favorite show -General Hospital.

Don't be a phag your whole life. Grow up.

Well you pledged to serve.

You should uphold that with discipline.

No pledge was given. A contract was signed. They get my labor. I get paid. Part of that payment is whatever amount of PTO we land on.

Screw that. I'm about to take 120 hours worth so I can hunt for a few weeks. A lot of time will be spent relaxing as well. I don't live to work. I doubt I'll ever look back and wish I had spent more time at work. This is a retarded take even for you. You're screwing yourself if you seriously do this. You've earned PTO, take it.

Im his boss, it’s certainly my business, and I could have told him no. He’s free to do whatever he wants, but I’m free to evaluate his performance.

PTO is the employees right to take. Outside of an emergency tho, our employee handbook requires you to give a 10 day notice.

I’m pretty loose with my guys, but if it’s the final week of a major project or milestone and they want to take a key week off with no notice, there’s going to be some questions and accountability involved. Also, good luck with a promotion if you try and pull this.

Since when did they start calling McDonalds an office? Also, thanks for showing up to work today. Now about my bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and those hot cakes?
