I don't like having to toss batteries, bulbs, medicine, etc into the trash, but there's not really another efficient alternative means of disposal available.

Hell no! My garbage runs off of a solar panel.

Tell them you will set the batteries aside for them and hand them over the next time you see them.

Extremely easy to drop off household batteries. Throwing them away is just lazy.

I put mine in the compost barrel. It keeps the bugs at bay.

I have had multiple corporate environmental leaders tell me they should just go in the trash. Not hazardous.

I have a blue trash can right next to the beige trash can. Throw whatever you want in either can because they both go to the trash. If you want, you can throw bottles, cans, etc in the blue one. I do, however, recycle the cardboard, but thats a seperate area, and we won't have any problems as long as everyone breaks their boxes down.

In general we throw too much stuff away. I have a garbage cart that I could fill with 3 dead bodies that goes out every Friday.

It's amazing the amount of trash/plastic we throw out.

I do believe the Tuscaloosa landfill might be the highest elevation in the whole county. I'm not kidding.
