Like and literally make me want to kick a puppy. It’s just gibberish most of the time and often in the wrong context.

Appropriating valley girl culture.

Was sitting in an early promotion board where young airmen had to answer a few questions from higher ranking enlisted.
One of the E-9’s called out an airmen for his use of “ums”.
An E-8 called the E-9 out thereafter recounting he didn’t think it was that bad as most people do it, and he had counted 8 “ums” throughout the E-9’s feedback.
Was awesome

I hated the “amazing” fad. Everything was amazing!!

With my younger brother, instead of saying "like," he'll say "you know," or "you know what I'm saying," repeatedly. It. Drives. Me. Crazy.
When my daughters began saying "like," I turned it around on them and intentionally did it back to them. It took maybe a week for them to stop it.

It has been going on since like the 1980s. Are you like just noticing it now?

Another one I hear repeated often is “right.” Right?

Annoying.. yes
But so much more tolerable than what I read here on the O-T Lounge everyday
It's impossible to be taken seriously and it doesn't help your argument when you type "Bro", "Bruh" or "Brah"
Just stop

Yep, after I joined / progressed in Toastmasters I became painfully aware how poorly most people on the planet talk / communicate.
Especially under pressure.

I want to slap the word "actually" out of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna's mouth. She can't speak a sentence without saying that word.
Another one that has me losing my mind is "yeah-no." It's out of control.
