Man, you are right there at the high pressure point of life. I used to blow a gasket from time to time during that phase, but it never really happens anymore. For one, life is at a slower pace now, and also the passions have cooled. Good luck with it; you are doing the most important work of growing children.

Yep.

I've improved to losing it on the 5th attempt to get the kids to do something rather than the 2nd. I'll also get pretty hot if one of them does something dangerous or harmful to someone else or themselves.
I've chilled out a lot but still keep mama's passion handy when I need it.

I usually don’t, my son left his baseball glove I got him for Christmas out in the weather last week. Looked for an hour for it and I finally found it by a tree outside. I punted the glove on the roof (didn’t think I could punt that far) then had to get it down. Seems like small things set me off sometimes more than big things these days. He’s 11 so old enough to know better. Anyone else deal with this? How do you control it?
I bet you drink Monster

Daily when I drive, you would think I have Tourette's.
I've always said I have to put more effort into cleaning the inside of my windshield than the outside. As soon as I park, it's over. But, it also starts within 500 meters of me leaving home, work, etc.

I’m sitting in an airport so what do you think?

Can you quantify often for us?
Unless it's an urgent matter, redirect your attention to cool off a bit. Sometimes it is more difficult to do this, but when they are really stressing your limits find a quick outlet for a few minutes to get the BP down before addressing. With that said, IMO losing your shite from time to time is not the end of the world, just don't make it your go to move or a daily/weekly habit

Age has a way of mellowing a guy. I use to lose my temper with the dumb stuff you 4wheelers would do and fellow truckers. Now I'm retired and when someone pulls out in front of me or whatever, I just slow up smile and wave. Life is too short to let little things upset me.
Had a lady hit me in the rear at a traffic light a couple months ago. I got out and walked back, saw very little damage to my 2003 Silverado bumped. Proceeded to her car, asked if she was all right. She apologized, I told her to be careful and have a nice day.

Work probably frustrates me the most, in particular insurance/home owner companies. But in general, not really ever.
Been married 10 years and I've never once raised my voice to my wife and vice versa. We've had disagreements but never once been in a serious argument or shouting match.

I have very seldom lost my temper in my life that I can remember. I have to admit that i am definitely getting less patient as I get older.

You sound like a moron with no self control or emotional intelligence.

I’ve found the older I get the more I’ve calmed down, plus having my son has helped me even more.

I have a moderate temper, but when I get pissed off I try my best to keep it under control and to myself. The way I figure it there's so much in this world that's outside of my control, but I CAN control myself and the way I react towards things. When I react positively towards something I've won, when I react negatively towards something I've lost. Over the course of a lifetime I try and win as many times as I can and keep the loses to a minimum and hope it adds up over time.

Maybe it's just kids.
My niece was annoying me the other day and I was just thinking damn these kids are fricking annoying.

I only lose my temper when driving. One cutoff or someone driving too slow in the left lane, and I become the Dukes of Hazard real quick.

Over a baseball glove? No.
The fact that no one took out the garbage after I asked 10 times … yes.

I did when I was younger. Now that I’m older not so much. Not ever really. I get pissed but I realize it’s useless and can be harmful to go into rages. Worst thing I do nowadays is maybe pace around the room a couple times and then sit down and think about what I’m doing. I try to practice stoicism.
