Do you leave the TV on for your dog while you are gone?

Just wondering. We don’t do it but she watches tv when we are home. Anytime an animal is on screen, she goes crazy.

Absolutely. Either Animal Planet or The Food Network.

I have news for you.

Your dog doesn’t give a shite about television nor knows why it’s there.

That's not true. There's an On Demand subscription channel specifically for dogs. Not about dogs, but for dogs. Why would they do that if the dogs didn't care?

And... to answer the OP.... yes. Yes we do.

I’ve heard people do do this. The first reply to the thread said they do.

Our dog would get hyped up when my dad would watch the outdoor channel and an elk would bugle. He'd jump up and have his front paws up on the dresser the TV sits on.

Only if the neighbors are having a party or if there's something going on nearby. The sound drowns out outside sounds so they aren't barking the whole time.

We leave relaxing music on if there are fireworks outside and we're going out.

I tell them all to be good and have a great day and that I love them before I leave every day. And regularly check in with them on the Nest cam.

They're sleeping now, btw.

Not typically, though I have occasionally left a radio on for them if I think there will be noises that will stress them out, like people doing work in the house.
