If your wife wants to be in NOLA and you think moving her to the Northshore is going to keep her happy then I got news for you my man.......
She's gonna leave you..and she's going to take your son and enroll him in Jesuit.

Comparing the houses, restaurants, and shops you are surrounded by uptown vs the north shore is kinda crazy but to each his own.
If the north shore and uptown new Orleans look the same to you then you are on the right side of the lake

And you can certainly grill out every weekend in your back yard by yourself there. And shop at a piggly wiggly the size of a drug store. And drive 20 min to eat at a decent restaurant

I agree. The north shore is the compromise my family settled on. If it was up to me we would be out of this state, if it was up to the wife we would be in Nola forever
I'm in the same boat brother
Women hunh! Can't live with em , can't live without em!!

This is what these threads usually come down to
Idiots that say Nola sucks completely and how could anyone live there
People that say they don't like Nola but they see how some do
And very very very few Nola people that can admit living other places is actually enjoyed more by some people. I just don't get why they can't see that as a whole(there are exceptions, lnch admitted different strokes)

Where the hell do you live in RR to where your kids can't play freely? Are you in Bunche village?

You know a place bleauxs when it's biggest draw is its proximity to somewhere else.

Moss connects directly to Jefferson hwy and people fly
Jefferson hey is obviously a hwy
Citrus is right behind us where people fly as well to Jefferson hwy
I hate how the Nola area is set up with major roads cutting through neighborhoods and in some cases stores and shops being literally in a neighborhood :lol
ETA: there have been there people hit by cars and severely injured in the 2 years I have lived here
One of the ladies died. She was my neighbors wife

Ive lived in several major cities in the U.S and Europe. I understand living other places. What i dont understand is living in the suburb of a place you hate. The only difference between a suburb and living in the middle of nowhere is access to the city... A city that you hate..
Jus sayin..

this thread has been derailed into a "Nola v. Nola suburbs" thread
the discussion is "Nola v. other legit city"

Ok. Was gonna say... Anyone who lives in Louisiana should realize this state is utterly worthless without NOLA.
Posted on 9/21/17 at 12:03 pm to Tigerdev
Honestly, what industry does Nola thrive on and bring to this state?
That is a legit question. Slow broke it down it really doesn't

And we find your explanation baffling.. Hence the discussion. Living in the suburb of a city you despise is insane. You should move. My 2 cents. Your life tho.
