whenever I see a female age 35-50 promoting herself & her birthday on social media for 1-2 weeks my first assumption is that her marriage is in shambles.

I'm the complete opposite on my birthday. Just another day.

if we’re nothing more than work associates why do you need to talk about anything other than work with me.
The point of work is not fun and games, I agree but If the only time I talk to you is when I need something, it can feel transactional. A little small talk builds trust so that when there’s a crunch, you know I’m not just using you — and you’re more likely to get support from me too.
It is amazing the knot heads who don’t get this. The arrogance of ignorance around workplace dynamics is hardly tolerable.

A lot of people crapping on people celebrating their birthday, but the mention of taking a day off of work for your birthday gets heavily down voted. Bunch of hypocritical lazy sorry asses.

"It's My BirThDaY Week!!!"
My daughter does this, mid 20s,
I think she does it to be funny- she doesn't really have a narcissistic bone in her body.
It started after she got married- birthday, then bday weekend, then bday week, again a bday week... maybe next year she'll have the whole month, lol.

This is the OT, where any amount of joy is shite on until it's snuffed out.

I missed my birthday last year because I forgot the day.

That's the best birthday present a guy could ever ask for.

When a person gets to be my age, you hope that everyone forgets your birthday

My wife's step mom; she is the absolute worst about her birthday and she is 60. It's disgusting
Posted on 9/3/25 at 8:05 am to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
Yes. More so the ones in their 30s+ without kids.

Does she not celebrate her “birthday month?” Does she not put dollar bills on her shirt?
