Do you have a strategy to survive?

I have multiple plans of what to do if I hear gun shots:

PlanA: Run in the opposite direction that I heard the shots coming from and try to put as many fat people between me and the shooter as possible.

PlanB: Duck and cover, aim for the center mass of the shooter, double tap. Even if the shooter is wearing body armor getting hit by one or two .40 bullets will knock him or her or him-her and the other 59 gender pronouns people use to describe themselves to the ground or stun them long enough for a clean head shot.

Do you carry a gun?

Yes. Some days I conceal carry a .40cal and some days I just say f**k it and open carry a .357 magnum. I usually just CC the .40 when I am in Morgantown but when I have to go to some of the rural hospitals in WV I carry the .357 magnums. The stereotypes about meth heads and crazy arse ppl up here are legit.

Incorrect....no handguns have that much power to knock someone down or stun them....that is just in the movies.

There are numerous instances of officer being hit in body armor and them returning fire.

Well unless you live in south Chicago, Baltimore, or Baton Rouge it’s not likely you will be in a mass shooting even if we used the insane stupid definition being pushed.

It depends,

If I’m unarmed then yea it’s survival mode for me and those I like.

If I’m armed it’s a toss up

Based on your post history, I hope you are unarmed. You don’t seem intelligent enough to end the situation on your own.

No, I don't live in fear. These things are so random that I don't even think about it

you think you are gonna be Johnny Hero pulling out a six-shooter and gettin’ the bad guy, huh?

Also, make sure your tires are properly inflated. You know you have a higher likelihood of getting killed in a car accident than a mass shooting. Keep that seatbelt on.

I never really worry about getting caught in mass shooting event. What I worry about is being killed or maimed in car accident with all these idiot drivers I see almost every time I go somewhere.I’ve nearly been killed several times but due to my superior defensive driving skills I avoided it.Seriously, all these people I see driving with their cellphones in their face, texting scare me.

Get to the back of a store/warehouse/ employee areas and find an escape as quick as possible. Do not bother hiding in the store or staying in mall thinking you can hide in a store. Get to the back room and GTFO.

You’ll have a better chance of getting struck by lightning, there is a chance, but it’s not likely.

Cops and soldiers are trained to how to react instinctively when under fire. The type of ppl doing the mass shootings are not.

Depends on the quality of the body armor and the distance to shooter. I carry a S&W shield .40 for my CC. A double tap from a .40cal will not penetrate body armor but it will throw someone off. A good samaritan with a CC would have surprise on his or her side in addition to the fact that the shooter is most likely not trained to react. That will give me or another good samaritan the time needed to acquire a good head shot before the shooter can recover, identify, and aim back at me, especially if the shots are timed to catch the shooter when he is reloading.

Of course the best thing to do is take cover behind a fat person.

Actually I think that a person has a better chance of getting struck by lightning after winning the powerball than being in a mass shooting.

They are trained to react but they can react because.... handguns do not provide the energy to knock a person down wearing body armor. That is only in the movies.

Furthermore, assailants tend to react two ways when they are shot...they shoot back or they retreat. I dont know of a single instance where they were stunned other than in the movies.

Also assailants usually dont aim back at you...their reaction if they are gonna shoot back is spray and pray. There is no recovery just reaction.
