Actually I think that a person has a better chance of getting struck by lightning after winning the powerball than being in a mass shooting.

1. nope
Still not "likely".

2. Cars are worse.
People holding cell seem to take offense if you try to say anything. Its outrageous. So damn dumb. So entitled.

3. Yes i scope my surrounds and who is there.
Choose seat based on view, exits.

If i were close to shooter i would move in an arc and try to make his moves more difficult.
Swinging Chairs. knives salt shakers peoples stuff. All.in the air. Ketchup bottle my weapon. Anything with heft.

If im far i disappear.

Part of my annual requirement as a government contractor is to review Active Shooter scenarios. Training that the FAA requires. I don’t know if these concerns were addressed 30-40 years ago, but mass shootings seem to be occurring more frequently.

Odd..... seems to me that it’s the same people over and over again that are getting caught in mass shootings

Being in the same city as a mass shooting is not the same as being involved in said shooting

I carry but I'm not stupid enough to think I'd be a match against somebody armed with a rifle or a shot gun.

The smart thing to do is run and only fight as a last resort. The confusion in a mass shooting with a bunch of CHL people running around with guns draw is not where I would want to try and be a hero.

What if I don’t carry a gun but still wanna fight?

Statistically speaking, at some point, some of us are going to in a mass shooting. At least, that's how it seems.

Huh?

Get cover and shoot back.

Edit.

Within 25 yards, I can hit him, given the opportunity.

May not be able to hit him BUT if I can keep his arse tied up for one to two minutes, that improves the odds of survival for everyone else tremendlously.

1. Fight
2. Flight

We all have it built into our instincts automatically.

My favorite are the people saying that all the carriers yesterday ran and hid like cowards

I doubt it is that. A mass shooting is just something different. I imagine most carriers think they are Dirty Harry until they're in that situation.

This all day. Shooting paper and in a high stress situation with people running all over is another.

As someone with more training than the average person, I'd have to really evaluate getting into a shootout in that scenario ESPECIALLY is its against someone with a rifle and unknown body armor. See: North Hollywood shootout.

In Mexican restaurant as I read this. My plan would be to throw a bottle of Tabasco at his head and then karate chop him in the throat.

Run.... not along the walls... get at least two angles away from the shooter... barricade.... then fight at last resort

I love how you start out with statistics, then end with feelings.

The liberal strategy de facto.
