No. But that’s the only time I’ve seen a guy come to a baby shower (outside of work showers, where everyone is invited).

Naw man.

You project soy-esque if you get invited to these testosterone-free events.

“Couples” baby showers? Sounds miserable. I’m glad that back in my day the women expected us men to get out of their hair and go fishing or something.

You get invited to baby showers?

I got invited to a co-ed baby shower once and it was a family deal so although I didn't want to.. I went. And it sucked. All the women sat around and watched the pregnant chick open up gifts and they all oooo and aaaaaaa'd over it as if they don't see the same shite at every baby shower.

The men just drink, and hung around waiting for it to be over. If it wasn't for the alcohol it would have been even worse.

Yeah, you're right. It has NOTHING to do with the huge lack of parenting in society today and the useless obsession with social media.

Depends on the person, but luckily outside of my childhood best friends, my friends are all slow to mature like myself

And all my childhood friends are one and done so I’m good.

It used to be nothing but a hen party years ago and any self respecting man would never show their faces at one, or if he did, never admit to it.

Now it's attended frequently by Beta males who have to ask their wife's permission to go take a leak when the need arises.

Only if they are double-named which is not as bad as travel ball, but still pretty bad...Emma Grace, Mercy Leigh, Lily Claire, and Maddie Beth will come out of the womb just fine without me...but these are the kids' whose husbands must attend as well, so every so often I get an invite. I have been to 3 or 4. My wife is at one at least once a month.

In my family, men folk generally did not attend baby showers. So, outside my own children and grandchildren, I have never attended a baby shower.

Obligated? No.

But these people are supposed to be your friends. You don't want to celebrate a big moment in their lives?

I'll get bashed I'm sure, but we did a couples one. It wasn't a traditional shower. No games, we didn't make people watch us open gifts. Just lots of food and alcohol and friends/family getting together for a good time and celebration of new life.

Been to a few ‘couples’ baby showers. I went bc they were family. It sucks. Pretty sure women hate it too and they invented this couple’s bullshite so we have to suffer with them.

For the record when my wife had her shower, there was no way in hell men were invited. All the men were invited to an optional gathering down the street to watch football and drink beer.

It's easy to say that but why do you think Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie bridge?
