Do you feel obligated to attend baby showers?

I’ve never been invited nor have I ever heard of a guy being invited to a baby shower.

never heard of any obligation to attend a shower of any kind (baby, wedding, etc) outside family, even more puzzling you'd feel obligated to attend a baby shower. While I do know of some inviting women and their husbands, I couldn't imagine anyone being upset a male didn't attend unless it was the father of the baby or father of the expecting mother

Sometimes people do couples showers. I'll go to one of those.
I mean.. maybe. But every baby shower I've been invited to that I can think of the baby had 2 loving parents.
