So say you marry a woman and she's fine af at the time. But then over the years she puts on weight and makes no effort to lose it while you stay fit and healthy. Is that a good enough reason to divorce her? I feel like if you gain over 50 pounds from time of marriage that is not the same person you fell in love with.

I do not think there's an obligation unless the two agreed to something like this beforehand. It is not given.

Marriage is like a night at the bar, just drawn out over a much longer period. You start out only accepting skinny chicks. By 2 a.m., you have no issues porking a fatty. 2 am is just equivalent to 10 years of marriage.

Yes. It's in my prenup that she can't get over 135 or I'm out.

don't marry a chick that doesn't workout. If she's fine af and doesn't have to work for it...then at some point when she slows down she doesn't have the mind or the drive to get back/stay in shape.

I let my SO know right off the bat that she has a 20lb gain limit, then I’m out. I feel if I set these ground rules when the relationship starts, she can call me an a-hole and walk. If she doesn’t walk, she knows what she’s getting into.

I like women who are submissive and insecure. This is a great weed out tool for those who have their nose stuck too high in the sky.

You’re asking the wrong people. 90% of the people married on this board have ex golden girls as their SOs. They already have the weight gain mentality (or lack there of) engrained in the brains.

I told my S.O. I would dump her if she kept gaining weight. She started going to orange theory lost the weight she gained and is still going regulary. Now my fat arse is the one that needs to lose a good 30 lbs.

I have a friend that wife gained 100 lbs after the birth of their first child. Needless to say, he is not ok with it.

Putting on a lot of weight is more about why, and what lifestyle changes happened then just the weight.

I know plenty of ladies that look just as good if not better with a little more weight on them, some of them 15 lbs doesn't look any worse. They were very thin and frail and a little weight made their butt, tits, and body overall look better and healthier.

Its more of an issue if your weight gain has to do with drinking too much, eating poorly, and not working out at all. That's a fairly major lifestyle change.
