thats BS. There's no excuse to be a land whale.
I agree. But let’s not pretend that men and women are the same when it comes to weight gain and body fat. Skinny women go through pregnancy that forces them to gain 40-50 lbs. My wife would get violently sick if she didn’t eat a lot at regular intervals. Her biology was forcing her to gain weight to prepare for childbirth/breastfeeding. Fortunately for her, after about a year of breast-feeding she got skinnier than before the pregnancy and had to ween the baby and try to gain the 5 lbs back.
For a lot of women, it doesn’t work that way. They gain the 50 and their hormones change (or something changes) and it takes a ton of work to lose weight and some of them never get all the way back to where they were even if they put in the work. Many of them didn’t work out before and don’t want to after and become land whales.
Men just have an easier go and should at least acknowledge that most women have a very different challenge to maintain their figure after childbirth.

If you expect someone to stay the same person as when you married them, you're in for a rude awakening

A lot of them gain 50 lbs during a pregnancy and something switches in their biology that makes it difficult to drop.
Yeah. It’s called lifting the fork too much...

Its possible she is a closet eater
Or the more likely scenario -- she has no idea what actually fits into her caloric needs.
We have magazines and internet articles telling you "AVOCADOS! NUTS! PEANUT BUTTER! OILS!" because it is true that fat is not necessarily "evil". However, those items aren't magically calorie free. They're actually super calorie dense.
You can easily snack on a bowl of almonds and consume 600 calories in one sitting.
Watching what you're eating doesn't mean anything unless you actually know what to be tracking/watching for.

I do know she exercises
The average person isn't burning more than a granola bar in their daily workout. If we were burning 500+ calorie per 30-60 minute workout, we'd all be skinny.

Its quite possible. I know she went to a dietitian to discuss her diet, although I don't know what came of it. I have a hard time connecting with her, so we actually do talk a lot about diet when we talk.
She is really serious about losing weight, and just can't seem to do it.
If I can't really gain weight unless I eat like shite, then I can see how some people would have a really hard time losing weight.

yeah, she may be getting a little side dick from her trainer... Orange theory aint cheap. If she's giving him pussy payments I'm cool with saving a little extra cash to keep her arse in shape.

Pecker’s prenup has a weight clause. They do weekly weigh ins

It’s not grounds for divorce. We’ll all get saggy, wrinkly and old. It is grounds for a serious conversation though.
