Shite man, I don't have anything against turkey meat, I use it in some stuff cause lean ground turkey (93/7) defrosts and reheats better than beef imo, but I have never encountered a single person that told me to stop eating beef and switch to turkey.

Maybe you hang around with assholes

I have to shake my head when my health freak coworker talks about how she uses ground turkey for everything. Especially since now she's a keto nut and eats a bag of pork rinds a day, but still thinks that turkey is healthier than beef.

I still will get some ground turkey occasionally if it's on sale. It makes good chili, tacos, or spaghetti.

It's easy, Baw. First, get a wife. Then, get the grinder attachment for her mixer. Follow the directions.

I've had a good chili with ground turkey so I'll back that up

As far as burgers go I'd prefer beef

I like ground pork in chili also

've put a turkey neck or two in a gumbo before during the cooking process but I take it out and discard before serving

I find it helps flavor the soup base

Wondering if maybe I should eat it next time

i imagine that would be about as good as eating meat from bones used to make a broth, aka, gross as frick

The only good turkey is a deep fried one.

No. I try to surround myself with people who are smart enough to stay away from nonsense like that. Find smarter company!

if you're using the meat as like a protein base in a liquid mixture, then turkey is fine (or super lean beef)

if you're using the meat as an independent/main portion, then turkey is terrible. 80/20 beef (or fattier) is necessary

It's not that great, but I've found I can make these turkey bowls and I season the meat with taco seasoning and really helps with the flavor.

I don't understand why people eat ground turkey over ground beef. It can't be the flavor.

Trader Joe’s sells ground turkey breast. I love beef, but we do turkey tacos at least once a week and I don’t miss anything- in fact, I prefer the leaner meat for tacos.
