In agreement with the "I cook to have leftovers". For stews, gumbo, red beans, Pasta e Fagioli (add pasta only to what we will eat that meal) and some Mexican moles, I cook enough to make four meals for the two of us.

Tha time saved and the improved taste with spices mellowing are the reasons for becoming left over dependent. The top shelf of my freezer is an army of quarts of frozen goodness.

I pack my lunch most days, so leftovers are key. Usually salads with whatever leftover protein I have available.

I had leftover country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole for lunch today.

Depends on what it is. I usually overestimate the amount of protein needed for a meal and then use the leftovers over the next few days in different ways. Keeps it interesting. I generally don't like eating the same thing two or three days in a row.

For several days if necessary. Some food is better after a day in the fridge.

For a while one son dated a girl whose mom cooked every day. He bring home food all the time. They threw out what they didn’t eat at a meal. My son mentioned dad would enjoy her meals. She sent a lot of food.

Yes. 4 or 5 days max, and it has to pass the smell test even then. No amount of waste is worth being bent over the toilet purging it all.

No I don't eat leftovers. I have stomach problems and it fricks with my stomach. Sometimes it leaves me on the toilet or with shite stains in my pants.

And yes I know. My name checks out.

Not if they're more than a day old. They kind of gross me out.

My dad thought taking leftovers home from a restaurant was “low class”

I'm looking forward to eating some left over chicken tonight so I don't have to actually cook anything.

I’m the only one in my house who will leftovers and that’s fine with me. Leaves more for me.

I don’t know what they would do in a SHTF situation.

Depends on what kind of food. Sometimes things like grilled chicken or pork chops can get tough when re-warmed.

This is my feelings.

I don’t like reheating grilled meats.

Now pastas, gumbo, red beans and rice, pizza absolutely I’ll reheat and eat as leftovers

The only people I know who "don't eat leftovers" are extremely annoying for 75 other reasons as well.

Leftovers are awesome nothing better than cooking a giant pot and eating it for the whole week
