I typically wear jeans and a hoodie/jacket with tennis shoes. In 2025 that’s the air travel equivalent of a 3 piece suit.

I wear my church jeans

Boots, jeans, polo shirt, pullover...about every time.

Jeans, golf polo, leather drivers, probably a Patagucci shield.

Go back to your shanty.

Up.
Suit, tie, dress shoes, and a fedora until I retired.
If you've ever arrived at a business meeting wearing only shorts, sneakers and golf shirt because your bags were lost, you'd understand.

Not dressed up as in wearing a sports coat or anything, but I'm definitely wearing closed toe shoes, pants, and a nice shirt. Set yourself apart from the people wearing cookie monster pajama pants and slides
I set myself apart from them by sitting myself apart from them... At the front of the plane.

Up. But I’m a young guy who likes attention from women.
I’d dress down if I was married.
How many girls have you picked up in the airport?
Posted on 11/12/25 at 1:52 pm to ClemsonKitten
Business casual when traveling for work, unless I am going directly to an event that requires a suit..
Chinos and a polo when traveling for fun. Perhaps nice shorts if the summer.
Comfortable clothes like sweats when traveling internationally.

I somewhat understand dressing up if you have a business meeting once the plane lands for some reason (probably unlikely).
But is this guy planning on picking up girl in the airport bar from Pennsylvania and banging her in the public restroom?

Depends if I have meetings or sites to visit on the same day as the flight. Wore joggers and a pullover on my flight to MSY Monday but will fly home in jeans and a golf shirt tomorrow when I get done with a site visit.

Comfortably for me, up for the general population. Chinos, shoes, usually something like a pullover as a layer.
Anyone who feels compelled to wear pajamas to fly is someone I likely won’t want to voluntarily interact with.
