I dress half decent at work, nothing expensive but I make sure my clothes fit well. Boots or shoes are always nice af.

At home I'm like you, dressed like a bum. To hell with sleeves.

Much like you during the week I dress my station. (Overly) nice suit with all the trimmings. Outside of work, my wife says I look homeless most of the time which is hyperbole but not that much. The one giveaway that I am unlikely homeless is I wear nice watches all the time unless I am doing something that could be classified as manual labor. You might see me in a 30 year old T-shirt, 10 yo shorts, tennis shoes with holes in them, a ball cap that has seen better days, and wearing a Patek 5711. Maybe 1 out of several thousand people might notice and identify it.

During the week. 100%.

Slacks, polo (tucked obviously), nice belt, quarter zip, only a wedding band, nice watch, overpriced shoes.

On the weekend... If I'm not leaving my small town, I dress like a panhandler. Worn out flip flops, basketball shorts, usually a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a few holes in it.

The excuse has always been comfort, but I was watching a video this morning filmed in the '50s of just men working outside. Doing construction, digging ditches, and they were dressed well.

My grandfather wore a set of coveralls everyday of his life, I think I've reached the point where even that might be preferable

Wear the same shite today I wore in highschool...jeans and a polo type shirt and either sneakers or hard soled loafers if forced by safety regs. The polo does have a pocket now though...

Weekends are shorts and a tee and any shoe that does not require socks. If that ain't good enough I ain't going.

Folks pay too much attention to the costume they cover their nakedness up with...

Yeah, but it sucks wearing a tux all day every day.

My butler says I’m far too strict with the dress code too.

At work, usually business casual. On my own time I always wear long pants and a shirt with a collar if I'm out in public. We have clients who wear shorts and t shirts to appointments and I'll never understand that. How you dress plays a huge role in people's attitude toward you.

I gave up giving a rat's arse about other people's attitudes towards me when I sold my business some 14 years ago...but if you are not in a position to do so you are 100% correct...when first impressions matter clothes do indeed make the man. I just never gave it much thought but understand the advantage.

Wearing flip flops every day is low of the low. A decent pair of tennis shoes is 100% better and doesn’t sacrifice any comfort. No one wants to see your nasty arse feet anywhere except a pool or beach or boat

I don't work in an office, so probably not. But, on a typical day I'll wear a ball cap, long sleeve t, khaki shorts, and loafers. So, I don't look like a total slob, but I'm also not dressing "nice" to drop my daughter off at school and then work from home.

On weekends or if I'm going to dinner or something, yes I dress nicely.

I work where you can where scrubs. They are basically public pajamas so I were those even when business casual is optional. Nobody says a word about wearing vans with scrubs, but vans in business casual is looked down upon... so scrubs it is.
