I have never deleted a contact in my life.

What's the point?

Never. If they made it into my contacts, I'd like to remember them every once in a while.

I'd rather not be "deleted" when I die.

I have one from my mother singing happy birthday to me. And I listen to it every year (and sometimes more often) and she’s been dead 9 years.

She and all my last siblings and father as well as a couple friends are still in my contacts.

I remove after awhile as a move on type thing. I keep their Facebook though as a reminder.

And think about them when I stumble across them.

Same here. I have about 6 text threads with friends/family that are dead now and I go back and read them from time to time. I'll never delete them.

Yes I do

I can remember them without having them stored in contacts. They won't ever be calling me or vice-versa. Just taking up space on my contacts list

I don't. It makes me smile to randomly see their name.

I have contacts in my phone that I couldn't tell you who they are or where or when I got them. I only add to my contacts but I've had to get specific with it. Like I've got everyone from work with their name then "from work".

Others are like "Steve (husband of wife's friend who puked in kitchen one time) I forget names so quick.

Although I used to have my grandparents house phone saved as Nana and Pop. Once she passed, he moved and got a new phone number so I just have him saved as "Pop". Still have their old number in their too. Not sure why I didn't delete it.

My brother died 2 years ago. Still have his number and his texts on my phone. Not sure what happens to the texts when I get a new phone, but would like to keep them.

I deleted my mother's number not long after she died 2 years ago. It was one of the most painful things I have ever done but I saw it as part of healing.
