So my work apparently just did away with this and I’m going nuts—but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise?

I used to all the time. Now not so much since they went to duel verification and I have to enter a PW and answer a phone call every day. I only do it now when I need to.

Yes, occasionally. Especially if I am out of the office during the work day like at a doctor's appointment or something. I don't have to take leave as long as I am getting my job done, so I try to do my job.

I check emails from my organization on my phone but those are few and far between. I don’t check emails on my client email accounts on my phone.

I used too, but I took a job where I didn't have an employee so I haven't. I'm getting an employee again so I will install it again.

Yes. I turn it off on weekends and vacation

Yes, selectively, and my responsiveness in work communications is looked upon well by my superiors, as you can imagine...
The key is turning off notifications when appropriate and in a balanced way.

I have them mailed to my house

This would be a major issue for me. No way I would want to bring a laptop around everywhere in this heat it would melt in the car. Would they let you do it on an iPad?

i got scolded for not answering my emails from my phone on my time off.

I have a very weird role at my job in that I’m not important enough to warrant a phone or a laptop but when I start missing queries my superiors will be most unhappy.

Yes, I check all of my emails on my phone.

Since we are not allowed to work from home, i don't work from home.
We were productive during COVID, but the old folks have to see you at the typewriter or you're not working.

Not after hours. I silence Teams on my phone at 4pm too. I use them both quite a bit during the workday though. I do work after hours but you better call or text me if you need me.

All day, everyday. I hate when they build up. And my position needs to stay in the loop

I have mine pushed to my phone, yes.
