Do you call your parents "Mom and Dad" ?

Do you call your parents "Mom and Dad" or do you use their first names? If you use their first names when did you start and why?
I would blow a gasket if my kids called me by my given name. I can tolerate a lot, but I'm gonna be their Dad til I die. Too many people want to be a best friend rather than a parent.

Mom and dad. My first cousin started calling my dad by his first name when she grew up. Wanted to slap the shite out of her for it.

Well uncles and aunts are a different thing. I call some of mine by their first names. I think it makes them feel young, now that their nephew is old.

I went through a spell of using my parents first name in my teen years. It's amazing how parents can completely come to ignore the words mom or dad. Dad, watch out for that falling tree. Continues to ignore me.... STEVE! Huh?
