I'm a judgemental prick, but I don't think I've ever really cared what someone is bringing to the office. For the last 2 years, I'm also in the spot of being the client far more than being the vendor, so I rarely get super dressed up or anything else.

No. I don’t go to an office anymore. But I do have a bag with a handgun, bullets, knife, spoon, Gerber pliers, LED headlight, toothbrush, toothpaste, BeanieWeenies, sardines, emergency cash, etc. You never know….
It might stay in vehicle, but that bag goes everywhere with me.

Yes.
I have to often get up and get on a plane in short notice. Sometimes immediately. So I switched to a backpack go bag situation. I don’t like it but it works and is more practical than a briefcase for me.

No, I don't.
I generally use a backpack for personal travel, but I have a strong aversion to it for business. That's just me though, I don't give much thought to it if others do -- arguably it is much more comfortable for carrying heavy documents / electronics / etc.

Same.
And messenger bags are a terrible design. Totally inferior to a backpack. They carry less, aren’t as stable on the body due to how they hang, and overall just make you look like a metrosexual soi boi.

I do. Inside is my laptop and planner. Glock 19 and two magazines. Pens, batteries, advil and a couple of chargers.
