Yeah I’m in Miami now for a little while or a lot. Christmas or NYE will be spent in key west. I’m single with no kids though.

Love it. Not married, no kids. I get a king sized bed all to myself, no household chores, easier work days since it’s just meeting with clients, etc. I only work in major cities (mostly in California but have gone to NYC and Nashville a couple times) so I get to eat great food and get out of crap BR. I save money since there’s no need to grocery shop that week, and meals are all covered.

There’s a fine line. I really enjoy traveling for work, to a point. I travel maybe 25% of my job.
People that do it 75% or more? That’s a grind.

I don’t particularly like any travel.
I prefer to play golf and relax when I’m not working.
For work, I travel maybe 3 or 4 times a year usually to big meetings that last all day. I try to enjoy different food and have made some friends that are in my field and attend the same meetings.
I actively avoid work trips if possible other than these bigger trade shows, etc. Others I work with seek out any travel opportunity.

Had 132 Marriott nights this year, I enjoy it for the most part. I have some good areas to cover though. (San Diego, L.A., Denver, Seattle, Portland, San Fran, SLC).

I travel around 15 nights a year for business. Usually no more than 3 at a time. It's good to get out of the routine now and then.
With some stuff coming down the pipe... I can see that maybe doubling in the next year or so. But I think that would be the most I would want to do.

Built a business over the last seven years where I get to do some pretty amazing things but am spending 120+ nights on the road. Need about ten more years to really finish out and realize the profits but have a young family now and don’t want to miss those years and it’s not a business I can sell. The travel is the only thing standing in my way but it’s necessary and I’m trying to figure if the Juice is worth the squeeze.

I get this. 6 pm rolls around in the hotel room and I ask myself ‘Do I want to go find something entertaining to do in LA or Austin or wherever I’m at’ or would I rather just hit up the hotel bar for some half arse whiskey sours and over cooked salmon.

I always liked going out of town two or three weeks a year. It was usually for training classes and I enjoyed exploring other cities.
Didn't care as much for my gulf coast stays in the sticks for work. Would hate to do it more than three or four nights a months on a regular rotation

As a faithful married guy it sucks kinda.
Especially since you go back to your room alone and have no friends to hang out with.

When I was single, yes.
Traveled full time. Gone 3 weeks and home for a week. It's a great way to see the country as I covered the mid west and west coast.
Meeting people from different walks of life is great. It always provides new perspectives on life. Except for those uppity fricks from the North East.

To be honest the air travel has gotten old. I get upgraded quite often, but the airlines, the airports, and the overpriced airport and hotel drinks and food have worn me down. When I hear guys talking/bragging about airline status, 150+ hotel nights, etc. I feel more sad for them than envious.

The only part that bothered me was when my company made those of us traveling for work share hotel rooms.
