All standard time supporters are terrorists as far as I am concerned.

I enjoy being able to get to the deer stand some weekday evenings after work. After the time change it’s impossible. I like having more daylight after work than before work honestly

Same with golf. DST year round would be huge for golfers.

Tell me you aren’t up or outside at 7am without saying so.

First light is at 06:30 (approximately). It is not dark at 07:00. If you were outside, you’d know this.

Do you work a full day?

There is nothing worse than getting home from work and it’s dark. You feel like you literally worked the entire day and it’s already bedtime and you are going to get up and do the same thing tomorrow.

So? What do you want to be doing right now that you can’t?

Why do you think it’s a good idea to not go along with it? You would have to ask everyone what time they use.

It already gets dark earlier so just deal with it and enjoy the early sun when you wake up.

Yes. Because it’s so freaking awesome when it gets dark at 4:45 PM.

The sun coming up close to 8 am this time of year if we kept daylight saving time and didn’t fall back is stupid.

I’m miserable waking up in the morning without natural light. If it’s storming in the morning and cuts out all the natural light, it’s much harder for just my alarm to wake me up. I still get up but it’s noticeably more unpleasant and my day just seems to start of shitty. But if my alarm goes off and I’ve got natural light coming through the windows. I pop out of bed much more easily.

Your body reacts to that light and wakes itself up. I’d be miserable all winter not having the sun come up until that late in the morning.

I agree. Being able to wake up to daylight is worth the trade off of losing an hour of it in the evening to me.

I've always viewed those that prefer standard time as fatties that don't do anything outside after work. They either go home and sit on their asses in front of the TV, or out to a bar and drink their lives away.

After work I want to go trail running or bike riding or fishing. Getting dark at 5:00 is the WORST.

What are you going to have time to do if it gets dark at 6 instead of 5. You gonna go fishing or hiking for 30 minutes after work?

Work in the yard
Throw the football
Hit some golf balls
Etc.

It’s just the feeling of the day not being over

When you get home and it’s dark you feel like the day is already over and all you do is work.

Because I get up like an adult at 5am every morning

I'll never understand why people who get up super early consider that more adult than the next guy.

I get up like an adult at 7 because I ain't got shite to do until 8.

Why I want to be up at 5am when I can sleep until AFTER the wife and kids have gotten up and ate downstairs?

I already switched. A bunch of us got together the other day and decided to start doing it midnight after Halloween. So far it’s going pretty good.
