I am listening to Rogan episode. There are two guys on it from the Innocence Project. Some of the stories they are telling about the wrong person getting convicted is crazy.

But they talk about how they get people to admit to crimes they didn't do. They tell people things that get them to confess even when they didn't commit crimes.

Do we need laws to prevent these detectives from using certain tactics?

You have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.

What more do you need?

Yes, the use of the Reid Technique should be grounds for suppression.

We all want to criticize cops for doing whatever they can to entice someone to confess.

But when some cocksucker rapes your wife, daughter, mother, or murders one of them, you wonder why cops don't do more.

False confessions to happen, but on the one hand, it's rare, and on the other hand, 99% of investigators don't want a false confession to blow up on them later. They want to solve the case, solve it right, and get the conviction of the piece of shite who murdered or raped your mom, wife, or child.

If you say it like RO-GAN it sounds like a Japanese movie monster

"Ro-Gan has escaped!! Run for your lives!!"

"Ro-Gan is my friend! Please don't hurt him!"

We have them. It is called, "You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present while you are being questioned."

You could start with making it a crime for the cops, DA, or any government official to lie to you.

I want to believe this and I know what I am talking about is a small percentage, but there are some incompetent police departments.. And its not really to their fault. They just don't have the funding to do a thorough investigation and because of that, there are cases in which they make the pieces to the puzzle fit instead of finding the right pieces to the puzzle.

You have pesky cases like Frazier v. Cupp, Oregon v. Mathiason, and State v. Nightingale getting in your way.
