One if my best friends was a vietnamese.

Basically they stuck together, dont spend money on stupid shite, spend money in their community, save. They very seldomly marry outside thier race.

Great people to be associated with but DONT frick them over.

also a boy band..

quote:

Born to Kill, also abbreviated as BTK, was the name of a notorious New York City-based street gang composed of first-generation Vietnamese immigrants. Their rise to power was in the 1980s when they ran New York City's Chinatown with an iron fist and quickly rose to become the most notorious Asian gang the country of the United States has ever witnessed.[1] The early 1990s proved to be detrimental to the Vietnamese collective following the arrest and prosecution of most of their New York-based operatives by the fall of 1992.

No, I moved here so I could use this year to start saving up on a down payment for a house. 795 a month for two bedrooms and two baths so I could have a home office.

Don't know about NOLA...but Port Arthur, Texas had a Vietnamese settlement...and they had some tight knit stuff...that I would call a security detail.

Kinda scary back in the 90's

they stand together more than anyone. During the Katrina aftermath they knew where almost everyone was. And went looking for the ones they didn't hear from.

They also got together and gutted and rebuilt each ones houses. They didn't wait for anyone. I spent a lot of time out there after Katrina at Michoud, Folgers etc...and those people got after it. I've hit the farmers market out there a few times although it's been a few years. Great people. Great market too. Buy live ducks, chickens, pigs etc. all grown and farmed right there in the east.
