Do the OT Bawlers post fake stories on LinkedIn too? It's total worthless garbage

SIAP or if you've ever been to Germany.
But LinkedIn is so ridiculous and just like every other social media site it's because of these terrible "influencers" who flood them with nonsense garbage.

Who is forcing you to watch it and what did you do to get that punishment?

Or any sort of context whatsoever?
This seems like an oddly specific gripe.

I’m always interested in people on LinkedIn that post or comment on opinionated, political shite.
This is a professional/career site. Talk about career suicide.
Then there’s the people you’ve never heard of, not even in the same industry, that send friend requests…then never view your profile or send an email.
My favorite is all the memes by underlings referencing ‘what a poor manager looks like’
It’s really a weird place.

I can’t speak to the OP about the influencer part, but I know there’s some garbage on there. I’ve got a coworker who claims on LinkedIn to have an MBA from Harvard, a masters in project management from U of Houston, and some type of computer degree from Norte Dame. Everything he does at work is a farce so his LinkedIn doesn’t surprise me.

The people who try to film motivational videos while on their morning walk should die in a fire.

Can you put them on ignore so you don't see them?
Posted on 11/20/23 at 8:49 am to sidewalkside
I have been tempted many times to tell some of them to shut the frick up.

He has a valid point. Some of us use Linkedin to find information and help customers. We don't need anymore motivational virtue signaling crap on Linkedin.
"Big thanks to the same crew that I thank every day for their super job DOING SUPER GOOD WORK KEWLLLLLLL THANKS MUCH THANKS SO MUCH LOVE YOu guys we do it right at Company X because we are the best TEAMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
It's super lame. Its the same people jerking each other off every week. Three posts per week of the same stuff.
I would strongly prefer they have some sort of mildly informational posts.

I mute these people on any of my socials.
One guy I know is a former meth addict and now he thinks he is the next Elon Musk. He gets "addicted" to a new business every few weeks. He actually has built a few into successful businesses but then he abandons them for something else. I feel bad for his wife and kids on the roller coaster with him and someone like that should not be giving out life and business advice.

I refuse to engage with all the fake motivational stories and what not.

I can't stand linkedIn because my feed is filled with realtors and all they do is brag about their sales

i like how some random guy from India "endorses me"

It has devolved into a useless platform and becomes more like FB daily, with people posting sob stories. Many leave their profiles alone and don’t have updated job info. My uncle has been dead about ten years and updates still pop up as to his job anniversary. And he gets several congratulation messages and “hope you are doing well” messages from his Linked In “friends”, which is awkward.

Absolutely no way people don't roll their eyes at literally everything this guy says.
