Hell no, these beta boys today are vaping weed up their vaginas.
In all seriousness I think there are studies and surveys showing that kids today drink less than prior generations. Seems obvious why that would be the case. Drinking is mostly a social thing when you're young and social interactions are moving more online. Covid probably accelerated that too. Couple that with the taboo of weed being almost non-existent now and it makes sense.

I have three nephews ranging from 18-22. I can't say for certain they've never had a drink in their lives, but they drink very little if at all. And they're the sports, hunting-fishing types, which used to be the prime drinking demographic.

No. Teens now drink very little. Like very little. Alcohol is becoming uncool like cigarettes.

The rise of weed coupled with the huge consequences of drinking and driving in modern America have almost destroyed “social drinking.” I’d love to hang out with friends and drink in large quantities, but it just isn’t worth the risk.

We guzzled in the 80s. Remember, we could legally buy it at 18 and hardly any store carded so 16 was a customary age to buy booze back then.
Your generation might have binged more, but I think we drank more frequently. Like I'm doing right now.

I have a few cousins still in college/high school, and they all say drinking is less and smoking weed is more. And from what they tell me that when they do smoke weed, they'll just hang at home all day and do it, and just frick around on their phones and play video games, rather than go to bars, parties, or friend's house to socialize, which isn't a good thing IMO.
