Do introverts just lack confidence?
We're just wired differently. I prefer being a wallflower as opposed to a mindless, self absorbed social butterfly who craves attention and social acceptance. There's nothing wrong with just wanting to be left alone.

Introvert =/= shy.
Two totally different things.
I’m extremely introverted, but not shy. Ask anyone who’s met me, I may be extremely awkward, but not shy about saying or talking about anything with anyone.

introvert a shy, reticent person. "I'm an introvert and don't like public speaking"
I know extroverts who are shy as hell and hate public speaking.
I dont think you understand what an introvert/extrovert really is.

Generally speaking, introverts would much rather teach or present to a large class of 200 people rather than talking to or socialize with a group of 5-10 people. It has nothing to do with confidence. Many of the most confident, and even cocky, people in the world are introverts.
Introversion/extroversion is one of the “big five“ personality traits. And introversion/extroversion has a heritability factor somewhere between .50 and .60. Meaning it’s largely determined by genetics. Someone earlier said that we are just “wired differently“. That is absolutely true- “hardwired“ from birth.

No, it’s an example of how you’re not quite as superior as you were attempting to portray yourself.
And you can go frick yourself too. Sorry, not sorry, that you got embarrassed.

Being an introvert =\= shy.
I'm pretty damn extraverted too but my wife aint. I wouldnt say she lacks confidence, just she doesnt gain energy from the social interactions like I do.
You wouldnt know which one of us was the more social at a party either. Its just...
She's gonna need some her and me time after the party, where I would be happy with another party.

I always thought that being introverted is more of those situations are draining on you.
Being shy is what you describe.
Like introverts aren’t shy around friends and family, they just don’t like big group settings. they don’t thrive on that like extroverts.

Depending on the situation I can be either and extrovert or an introvert - it just depends on what kind of mood I'm in. It has nothing to with confidence - sometimes I just like being left alone.

I usually give them the look like I’ve got shite to do, leave me alone. You shutting up would make my day.
Especially if I’m somewhere with a specific goal in mind. Like the grocery store. I’m not there to socialize.

Being introverted is a birth defect in this society. I've missed out on tons of opportunities because I just did not feel like talking to people.
However, I can approach 15 women a day every day, so maybe my cock is an extrovert.

I've always been introverted, even as a child.
My youngest kid is the same way. When she was like 3 years old, an age where you'd normally expect a kid to be tearing around the house, you'd hardly know she was there.
I'd go look for her and she'd be playing with blocks in her room. She's a normal teenager now, has good friends, almost a 4.0 GPA but she still likes her alone time a lot and her social time in doses.

Spot on. I think too many people place too much emphasis on being one of the two.
I think more people are a mix of both and depending on the mood and situation they may be in.
