Do Europeans walk down the opposite side of a hallway?

Here in America it is common to walk with the wall to your right shoulder and oncoming traffic to your left.
We all know Europeans do it backwards with cars.

It's only the British who drive on the opposite side.

By Europe do you mean the UK?

True, but they aren't Europeans. Several former colonies and former members of the British Empire drive on the left.

They certainly walk on the opposite side of the sidewalk in Disney World.

Now do standing on the escalator because that one consistently screws me up.
UK, Europe, Asia all seem to do it differently.

This is a damn good question! I would bet that they do.

If walking on a neighborhood street without sidewalks I walk where I am facing the oncoming traffic.
I do this so I can see if the oncoming traffic is on their phone or something and not paying attention to me. So I have time to step out of the road and not get run over.
I am not a fan of the upcoming tech in cars to watch drivers but if it can watch a driver on their phone and do something to make them stop that would be good, but all the other surveillance is no good.
Assholes need to put the phone down and watch the road.

Maybe. Most of it is the middle east now so it is hard to decipher.

Drivers in most countries in Eurpoe, and the world, are supposed to drive on the right side.

When i lived in SE Asia where most countries drive on the left side of the road, people also tended to walk on the left as well. Took a while to get used to.

In the uk, absolutely.
Always confuses the shite out of me.
Constantly apologizing.

In the olden days horses/nobility would pass on the left, since most were right handed (in case you had a sword fight).
The French Revolution/Napoleon changed direction, except for the British.
