Do any of these places on rescue shows (ex: Restaurant Impossible) make it?

My wife enjoys watching rescue shows like Restaurant Impossible, Bar Rescue, Kitchen Nightmares, etc. But when I Google them afterwards they’re always permanently closed. Damn near every time.

Do any of them actually survive after? Has anyone been to a post-rescue venue and noticed a dramatic change?

PJ's Sports Bar in Moreno Valley was on Bar Rescue and is still around. I've been there a few times and never had an issue with it. The owner's daughter who runs it is normally there and is super nice.

ETA: The family owns a Mediterranean place in the same shopping center so they have two menus. A typical, burgers/pizza/wings, menu and then the Mediterranean menu that they bring from the other place.

One local place in Tupelo that was featured is still in business and people that eat there claim to enjoy it.

Restaurant business is hard. I know, I’m on fries tonight, even with snow.

I know a guy who was on Bar Rescue. Once the place was fixed up and kind of running better, he immediately sold it.

Big Mike's is the name and it's still there and doing well. A pretty good lunch spot

That’s song came one was different. They didn’t go because the business was going bad, they went as part of the flood recovery. Basically it was a way for the show to get publicity for helping flood victims.

Fun Fact: I worked at a restaurant in 2009 that would eventually be on Kitchen Nightmares. It was in 2009 and the show aired in 2012. The restaurant was called Chappy’s. It eventually closed and he reopened on Magazine St in New Orleans. That lasted only one year, though.

There’s a website dedicated to Bar Rescue and what has happened to some of the locations he “rescued”

Spoiler alert: most have shut down since

The one that is Katy originally called Bryant’s Ice House was on Bar Rescue and has been doing well for many years. Now called Wildcatter Saloon.

A few. A coat of paint and a new menu only matters so much if you're already $250,000 in the hole.

I’ve always wondered about the name changes he does on Bar Rescue. I know a lot of them change it back when he leaves, even though they already have new signage/menus/etc. You’d figure Taffer would ask for feedback on names before he just changes it.

Taffer owns a large percentage of the business when he is done.

If the owner and management are dumbasses before it, they are still going to be after.

I can't believe some bar owner hasn't laid that Taffer clown out.
