Don't hate them, it's just a bitch to haul kids in a car. Much easier with a truck or SUV. I drive a Corolla and jamming my 2 kids in the back seat is a pain

No it’s because I need room for all of Bryxteighnne’s travel ball equipment, our chairs, and of course my Yeti.

I doubt that is the reason. I do see a lot more trucks on the road but that isn't surprising in a rural area.

Vans and SUVs are much more car-like than they were in the past. If you broke out the vehicles that are body on frame vs those that aren't...the vast majority would be unibody.

Crossovers and Minivans are the current generation of "cars"...

I drive an old Infiniti sedan as my daily driver. If I have to haul kids’ shite around for practice, it fits just fine. The wife has the crossover car and I hate driving it

Like in the bed of the truck?

Minivan is the best for kids. Translating doors.

Half of the SUVs are just squat station wagons for their short, squat, sausage-fingered drivers.

I have 3 kids and when i have to bring them around, i use my truck because with car seats, 3 kids aren’t fitting in my car.

But on any other day, i gladly drive the little car just cause it’s so much easier and costs less

maybe they realize this is their last opportunity to drive a ICE Truck or SUV before our jet setting superior elites tell us they are too harsh on the environment because of the cow farts and such?

It’s no different than people saying that they need that giant house. They think they need that extra space when they really don’t.

Most "SUV" autos are really hatchbacks that people refuse to call them that.

Trucks have gotten a lot more comfortable, hence why you see all the baws get decked out 250s and never leave city streets.

Everyone is canceling their sedans.

And it’s weird. Because things like the Charger, Maxima, and Fusion were relatively popular.

Midsize SUVs/crossovers are just better than sedans in almost every practical way.

Better visibility, better storage, more interior room, same or similar enough mpg, easier to get kids/pets/groceries/stuff in and out.

85% or more care about getting from A to B and not much else and for better or worse the suv/crossover is just a better product for that task than a sedan.

However we have more "stuff" then ever. Look at how many self storage businesses have popped up over the last 20 years. And talk to someone who owns one. It is amazing what people will pay a monthly fee to store away.

Huh?

Minivans are 100% the best option for families.

The fact that people choose SUVs over minivans means it's not "to make hauling kids easier"

What do you consider a giant house?
