Test should really go to OT. Kids are in better shape than OT where I imagine 50% are obese lol.

The majority of the damage done to our people is by the types of food they've been offered and recommended.
Most of these *food items are things that no one should eat or has any reason to eat. The average kid in America doesn't eat a homecooked meal. They live off of junk food. Plenty of corn packaged in a variety of ways from breakfast cereals, chips, drinks, oils, syrups, etc.
(I use that term loosely.)
People are being treated like cows being fattened up on a feed lot. The reason. It's good for business. The food and pharmacological industry have made huge profits from the gluttonous appetites Americans have. So much so that some of the hottest selling drugs today are to treat the obesity epidemic.
The worst part? A lot of Americans have convinced themselves that this is all the result of freedom and capitalism. Nah. People are being played. They're being treated like farm animals.
Get rid of the food products that are plaguing the nation. Get back to basic ingredients and learn how to cook.

This is a great idea. But I can’t wait to see the Karen moms go crazy.

Bringing back the presidential fitness test will not fix any of those problems, you’ll just have a bunch of kids failing the test

The nation being more physically fit as a whole would definitely alleviate some of the strain on our healthcare system that is filled with obese lards who have all kinds of ailments because they don't take care of their bodies.
Just one of the many reasons why people will oppose it.
We are so close to collapsing the family unit with broken homes, obese populace, terrible foods, and an unaffordable healthcare system.
Why stop now? This is working as intended.

The amount of and the relative cheap price of processed foods is definitely an issue. However, the adults in this situation have a choice when it comes to food, not so much for a lot of the kids in this country.

The gym class rope was my favorite. It tickled my tickle spot.

Fit people don’t want to eat like shite. If we incentivize being fit, not being fat is a self fulfilling prophecy

Do they? So much of who we are as human beings is decided by who and what we are surrounded by. It's easy to say, "Just make better choices." Too many people have been born into a life where there were no good choices, and now that the damage is done; have a poor outlook for ever changing.

Many schools still use this, or an equivalent. The real problem is that at many inner city schools, kids do not even dress out anymore. The teachers are just coaches who babysit and follow the three Rs.
Roll call.
Roll the ball.
Read the newspaper.

My kids went to episcopal private schools. They had summer school in France, bro. They had anything they wanted.

I was always disappointed that we never got to do the rope climb at my school.
