Ok. Being murdered in your home by a random thug is like winning the lottery, the wrong way. This isn't some common occurrence, or something you can plan for unless you carry a gun on you 24/7, even when you sleep. The incident in the video wasn't random thugs murdering normal people in their home.
If you were looking for a lesson from the video, it would be don't deal drugs, not prepare for murderous thugs to invade your home.

While none of the 3 deserved to be murdered in cold blood,,,,,, there are hard questions to ask.
The murderers had a high suspicion that there was a lot of money in the house. Why?
Multiple Cameras, high quality, both outside and inside the house. Why?
Drug dealers? Something else?
The only time I have seen that many cameras both inside and outside a house, they were drug houses.
When you play with dogs, you increase the chances of getting fleas.
When you deal in drugs or let people know you have a lot of money inside your home, sometimes the chances of bad thing’s happening increases.
Again, they did not deserve to die in that manner.

You could tell that household wasnt' an ideal place for children. Not the worst, but I've been around enough to know from what I saw that it was not a great situation.
Wonder if the 20yo son was getting mixed up with the wrong crowd.

Had to stop watching. That was brutal.
Not sure about the drug angle. They targeted the woman and said she had a good job like they expected cash to be laying around. We'll find out eventually.
My take away here is that if someone gets the drop on you, the time to fight back is immediate, because they are not yet in a position of full control and commitment. Do not put you or your family in some thug's mercy if you can.
Also hug your loved ones because sometimes a POS has just decided that you are going to die and there's nothing you can reasonably do to stop it.

Oh that’s how you get comfortable in your ignorance. You narrow the definition down so far it’s absurd. There were almost 300,000 violent home invasions in 2024 according to the FBI. There are approximately 148 MM housing units in the US.
By my math that is 1 in every about 500 odds, nowhere near as low odds as you powerball example.
I’ll prepare and make sure I’m not a statistic at the end of the day. You go ahead and keep your head in the sand.
