The Stinger is a pretty legit 0-60 car. I don't know anything about the K5

KIAs get bashed on this site, but I had an Optima and it was great. No problems at all and just a decent little ride. They have come a long way for sure.

The Telluride is the best vehicle I've ever owned. I get the Kia bashing for 20 years ago. I don't get the Kia bashing in present day

I had one as a rental for a week because my work car died.
I freaking loved it. Our company has a contract with Ford, so I got an escape as a replacement, which I like a lot more than my focus that died. I don’t like driving sedans but I’d have happily had that one.
Smooth ride, airplay was flawless, lane assist and auto driving features were really slick. After running around it for a week my kid was legit upset that I had to give it back for the Escape.
Get up and go in sport mode was pretty solid, but the eco mode was getting me close to 40 mpg in a more sporty car.
*Sorry to keep editing. Just remembering different things I liked about it.

Same with Hyundai. Best value, best warranty and really solid power trains.

In November 2020, NHTSA announced that Kia and Hyundai must pay $137 million in fines and for safety improvements because they moved too slowly to recall more than 1 million vehicles with engines that can fail. The fines resolved a previous probe into the companies' behavior involving recalls of multiple models dating to the 2011 model year.
Data collected by the Center for Auto Safety show more than 30 U.S. fire and engine-related recalls from Hyundai and Kia since 2015. The recalls involve more than 20 models from the 2006 through 2021 model years totaling over 8.4 million vehicles.
Many of the recalls involved manufacturing defects that stopped oil from flowing through the engine block. Many involved expensive engine replacements.

unless i get a wild hair to go after the Tesla Model Y, my wife's next SUV will probably be a Telluride or a Pallisade.
unfortunately her 2009 traverse is paid off and running fine for the most part. i've spent maybe $1000 in upkeep the last 4 years since we've paid it off so it's kinda hard to justify a car payment right now.

I’d allow my butler to drive one but he’d have to park it down the street

I own a 2021 kia k5 LXS. Bought with 400 miles on it, and i've thrown 16k on it. I love it! I pay $327/mo on it, 36 month lease.
It's smooth as butter, has great interior, and a lane assist feature that legit allows you to drive on the interstate w/o holding the wheel, even if turning.
sport mode has great pick up. You can haul arse.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I was with my brother during a test drive of one. It's a really nice car. It can boogie. And the interior is really nice. He wanted it pretty bad, but decided against. Also, the Kia version is better than the Genisus version.
A salesman said if you buy the Stinger, you should keep it for the long haul because it doesn't hold its value very well.

The Stinger was a fun car. Knew someone with one and got to drive it a few times. The k5 is is replament and supposedly better. Kia has come a LONG way from their Sephia's and Sportage's of the 90's.

We bought a Hyundai as a commuter vehicle. Great value and literally no complaints after 4 years of ownership so far

Replaced a 2013 Santa Fe with 145,000 miles and bought a new Santa Fe Limited Wed. 2 issues with the 13', busted AC hose at 40,000 smoked and an AC blower motor ($60 part) at 140,000 miles.
