Just found the solution. It works if I select the channel from the guide, but if I manually type 2-1 on the remote I get the "this channel has been removed" message.

That's DirectTV's way of saying "we're in contract negotiations." They blame WBRZ for charging too much, and WBRZ will blame DirectTV for not paying the same thing that other providers are willing to pay.

I like how DirecTV asks that you contact the local channel provider about getting the channel back on.

Put up an antenna and you will get all of the local channels.
