I hope Troy and Ronnie killed it because it was killing pets livestock or people. No reason to kill it if it’s minding its own business

It doesn't mention anything like that in the article. Just says people saw him in the lake, aka his home.

Remember that when you get squirrels in your attic. Or bats. Or kill wasps, snakes, or any other varmints in/around your house. 800# or 80#, there’s way too many gators. Won’t shed a tear for that big fricker getting harvested.
