My wife and I ate at a local Mexican restaurant about a month ago. We each had an entrée and queso and one drink each. We walked out paying $80 plus. Insane!

Those deals are regional. I just ordered Pizza Hut last night in Savannah and they didn’t have that deal. You’re right about delivery though I was just lazy.

2 kids meals and 2 basic cheeseburger combos cost $41.

With honesty in a response, how much should this cost?

In the 90s a Big Mac Extra Value Meal cost $4.59 and a Cheeseburger Happy Meal was about $3.50 before tax. The median wage in 1995 was $34k.

The Big Hurt is Coming, all because of Rice,Obama, and Klain. This cannot be sustained and I look for it to be happening in January. Unemployment going to 20+%.

Took my wife and my 2 kids to newks last night. 2 sandwiches with soups, kids pizza, and kids mac and cheese was $55.

While the theme in this thread is that this is all Biden's fault. I think it has a lot to do with the last dumbass stimulus package, keeping the extra unemployment going for as long as they did, as well as the Federal Reserve sticking to their mantra of "this inflation is transitory" for too long.

This isn’t a Biden problem and it isn’t something Trump would have avoided. I swear it’s like the American electorate is fricking retarded and has the attention span of a gnat.

The funny part is people don't realized we're just getting started with inflation. next year and 2023 is when Biden will really have "i did that"

This is what happens when you start talking about increasing wages. So many people seem to think that when you pay employees more money, that I guess the wage fairy comes from the heavens to grant the employer money to pay for said wage increase.

WE pay for that. Prices go up. This is also why when you go to the grocery and barely have a single layer in the basket and you're thinking maybe $40, you go to checkout and it's now $80. Same thing.

A Mexican place opened near me about 4 years ago. They had a $1.00 taco Tuesday which was a big draw at the time. Now taco Tuesday is $1.75/taco. No kidding.

I don’t see 50$ as bad, hell it’s just the 3 of us and most places are 50$ depending on where we go or what we order.

There are several burger places 5 guys comes to mind that are on the expensive side, but overall for sure the cost is going up.
